Today wasn't really very eventful at the doctors. Just making sure everything is healing well and the cuts are now fully scabbed so I can get it completely wet for longer than 5 minutes. Which is nice to not have to worry about it bleeding or anything. Then the other thing is I only have to wear a compression sock around my foot to keep swelling down! No band-aids or tight nasty bandage wraps. Finally and not least... it's time to BEND THE TOE... This probably was the worst part of my last surgery.. maybe. Tomorrow I'll upload a video about it. Basically I've been wiggling it for the therapy but now you actually have to bend it as far as possible and hold it there for a few second then let go. You continue doing this for the next month until your muscle has relaxed or you can bend your toe by itself.
This is insanely painful yet very very important! I don't think any of us want a stiff toe. I sure know I do not. Other then that The doctor just told us.. Two more weeks on the Couch before walking. I can put pressure on it now like sitting up and such. Which is nice because my knee/leg has been wanting some sitting time for a while now.
I'm not sure how well i'm going to do during these next two weeks. As I wrote last time I'm having a emotionally hard time staying at home all the time. Luckily I have been feeling well enough that I've ventured out of the house a little to go eat or pick up hot cocoa. Other then that It really is safest on my couch. and Honestly the little trips are very tiresome. My arms the last two days have been aching because of the crutches. The pain in me foot really hasn't been bad! as I wrote before I've been cutting back on the lortab! which is still the case! however, I may start taking it more now because of the toe.. bending it does cause a lot of stress!
Well that's all for now! I"ll post pictures and videos tomorrow! Sorry i'm just bummed I have two more weeks. but it could be worse! Thanks for reading!
