Like I said last time I really don't want to update all the continues news. It all is just the same. Some things are a little different. For the most part though it's all the same.
I'm blogging right now because we are actually seeing some improvement for the first time in four months! This is real improvement not false hope. So for the last 3 weeks the bone and the tendon has been covered by new skin. Which is the hardest to get covered. However, we tried for two weeks to get the rest just close on it's own with just band-aid. Didn't work.
All this time i've been on antibiotics except for the two weeks. Then he took another culture and I had another staff infection. So now i'm on different antibiotics. I take them four times a day on an empty stomach.
So the day he put me on antibiotics i also got two deep stitches to close it. I still have the wound Vac on also even though a wound my size usually woudn't have one. Now I only have one stitch left in and it's been about two weeks sense they closed it.
The nurse changed my wound vac Friday and the spunge the put on it was completely DRY! here is a picture:
It's amazing! it's closed! and DRY! now i'm just waiting to hear what the wound specialist says on tuesday! lets hope it's good! that yellow skin is dry skin. everything is dry! it's incredible.
