7 months- Doc. No relief.

Okay number one thing to keep in mind when going to a specialist  They are VERY vague.. The first time I had surgery and all my check ups I just always came out of doctors appointments very unsatisfied.. with the second surgery and the wound complications I came out even more unsatisfied.. now that Both of the bones now have fractures in them and the doctors "don't get it" and just go "mmmmmm" over and over about it.. I feel even more unsatisfied..

So Keep that in mind. They will tell you once they know something is wrong.. and they will usually express if something can go wrong or may be happening... Normally you wont get a Time when things will get better.. for sure that is.. at least this is my experience.

So I wen to the doctor.. everything looks "normal." for now. However, that just means that it doesn't look infected. So we wait for it heal. which normal time should be two weeks. So I decided I will not be taking ANY photos of the wound. I will not be posting them. I will not be dwelling on them. I'm going to ride the wave and until they say "oh no this isn't good." I'm just going to go on with my days.

I have to wear the boot because he wants to make sure it heals. So by keeping it stable it should make it heal just fine. So that's what I"m doing..

Some things I wasn't prepared for because I thought this surgery would be fairly simple and I"d be walking on it... :

1. Keeping the food/wound dry.
2. I did not clean my apartment before hand... and now it's filthy..
3. This is my driving foot so I can not drive.
4. How much pain.

It was dumb and naive of me to not think of these things.. I don't know why I thought it would just be better then the first surgery.. I can bare weight which is nice but the cut is just as deep/big as the first time so it swells and hurts a great deal. Because I can bare weight I can at least stand in the shower with my boot wrapped in a garbage bag

So that's a plus. Now that's it's been a week from surgery It has improved a lot but still I'm very worn out most the day and I don't like that feeling of being so weak.. um so that's about it. just always be as prepared as possible before undergoing foot surgery.. even with Knee surgery the doctors usually want you on your feet and walking around a lot more then with foot surgery.. even with this surgery I've had to use crutches until today to get around.. and the doctor wants me keeping my foot elevated as much as possible.

rough times.. losing feet really makes you lose a lot..
